Ahhhhh, Rain at Last

Rain, mild thunderstorm, lightning flashes.....ahhhhhh such a nice thing to hear last night. I didn't even mind cleaning up the yard this morning. I know the drought is not over but this was wonderful.

Now if only North Dakota could wake up tomorrow without flood waters, Arizona with no fire, and no tornadoes in the eastern part of North America.

  1. I heard about the rain in TX on the weather this morning and thought of you. :) I hope there's more coming your way to at least make a dent in the drought. Enjoy!

  2. Thanks, Andrea, for thinking of me! We're praying earnestly for more. Now, I'm even in a better mood to sit at my computer and write!

  4. Wonderful! We got some much needed rain here too, but we're still not allowed to use charcoal grills outside (super high fire danger). Wishing you more wetness!

  5. Really, the weather is so out of balance across the US this year, seemingly more so than usual.

  6. Kathryn, Jess, and Melissa, I guess everyone of us is experiencing extremes this year! Hope we get back to normal soon.

  8. Right. If only this were paradise!

Haven't seen you for a while. It's lovely to see you again. We've had lots of rain this year in Virginia. It's been a drought for three years, ever since we moved here. So that's been lovely. There was only one tornado that touched down a few miles north of us. Always something.

I saw your comment on my Blogger blog and also on my WordPress one. Yes, I got fed up with Blogger. And I LOVE WordPress with its sleek look, its flexibility, and its comments/reply. I didn't, however, figure it out on my own. I found a young woman who even today is trying to help me with my Networked Blogs icon that isn't working. But I figured out the basics on my own after using blogspot, and so if I can I think anyone can!

  9. Kimberly, thank you, I hope so, too. Hope the fires are far away from you and so is the smoke :)

Ann,thanks for letting me know that WordPress is pretty easy to navigate on my own. If it's not one thing with blogger it is another. I no longer can upload pics, have to sign in without remember me to comment, and I had to cut and paste to use this pic but can't resize it, etc. They put up new and improved things and ruin it. Luckily the users share ideas how to work around the broken programs.

  10. I've been thinking roll down blinds with a picture of storm clouds and rain on them would be perfect for writers, we can roll them down on the sunny days and convince ourselves it's perfect weather for writing!
