  1. I've spent the whole day, on and off, trying to get to this conference and have hit the dreaded error page that so many others have. What a disappointment...

  2. Yes, Andrea, it was frustrating. Early I was able to get on and comment on an article, etd. Then suddenly I was tossed out with the error message. I had commented here this morning (then removed it) that I hit the error page and emailed the administrator, Shannon Messenger.

I received a lovely response that they were working things out and to try in an hour. I did, and was able to attend a live chat where they apologized and Shannon said she had received over 200 emails. I haven't tried again since then, but it seems to have to do with the traffic peak times. Being the first year there will be some problems to iron out. The articles I did read and the chat with Suzie Townsend were really good.
I hope things go better tonight when they'll have even more writers signing on when they get off work.

  3. Hi Catherine. I'm stopping by to let you know I am getting all your lovely comments and to aplogize for not getting back over here for a few days. It's been hectic and full of internet failures! I do appreciate all your comments thank you so much and I will be more dedicated in the coming weeks *crossing fingers*. Have a great time with the Con!

  4. Don't apologize, Erica, you are a busy person. I love the pictures you had posted today to represent settings. I really am thinking of getting my camera out, going on a location hunt, and snapping the setting for my next mystery.

  5. I haven't been able to get to as much of WriteOnCon as I wanted, but I love that the posts stay up so I can read them later, too.

  6. I agree! It's so thoughtful of them to do that for those that work but also for those of us who take breaks to attend to daily chores.

  7. Catherine, have you been able to get on to writeoncon? I saw on Twitter that many people were having a hard time. Fortunately, I haven't had any problems. Except for blurry eyes, that is.

  8. Yes, Julie, when I got back on Writeoncon there were no more problems. They apparently straightened the whole thing out right away. I attended several chat sessions and learned a whole lot. I didn't post but only lurked and learned. It was great. I would get on first thing in the morning in my pj's with coffee and then several times a day. I'm still watching videos and reading the articles. Loved it, can't wait until next year.
