This is a picture of my writing room. I decided to post it after visiting the
Sisters in Crime blog site and finding a link to
other writer's rooms. It was such fun to check them out! Hope you enjoy seeing where other writers work and reading about them as much as I did!
I love seeing other writer's spaces. Yours looks comfortable! Mine is just at my dining room table and it moves every time we need to eat. :)
ReplyDeleteI also use my dining room table to work on the paper copies of manuscripts to edit in pencil. I can spread everything out, punch holes to put them in a binder in chapter order, and do what I can't do at the computer. Sometimes that table is buried for days and we eat on TV trays :)
ReplyDeleteMy computer desk is one I've had for over 10 years. The laminate is peeling. I need a new one, but it's not high on our priority list. And I'm picky. I'll wait 'till I find the perfect one that fits just right into my corner of the kitchen. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing other writers work spaces, too. Yours is so much neater than mine! :) I'm one of those clutter-types. But I can find the paper clip I was looking for under a pile of papers--and even know which pile of papers to look under. :)
ReplyDeleteNeat room. It looks like you oould get a lot done in there. :) I just wanted to let you know that I'm over here following you from the First Pages Blogfest. I missed commenting on it during the blogfest, but have done so now. :)
ReplyDeleteLaura, I know what you mean. The table/desk I bought at Sam's, used it in a classroom in North Texas for a while, then it came home for my computer. As much as I would like one of the "professional" ones in furniture stores, I stick with this one.
ReplyDeleteAndrea, it's neat because it's not big enough. When I'm in the middle of writing, I drag in a card table and start piling stuff on it, within arms reach. I'm not sure I know exactly where everything is, though. You're good!
Sarahjayne, thanks for coming over, commenting, and becoming a follower.
Fun post! That looks like a nice work space. Mine's in a corner of my kitchen, so I can keep an eye on whatever's cooking... but it's not very private. I'll post a picture on my blog, but first I'll have to clean the kitchen!
ReplyDeleteI wish everyone would post a picture, that would be interesting and fun to see where all the next best sellers are being created :)
